Sports Exchange 2014
We had a fantastic day yesterday in Oamaru. The sun was shining and we were surrounded by blue sky.
Thank you to Barry, Kate, Jacqui, Marie and Alison for giving up their day to transport us, coach us on the day and to be our number 1 cheerleading team.
A big thank you to St Joseph's for hosting us this year and congratulations on securing the Shield for this year.
Our teams played extremely well but were beaten by stronger sides on the day. Congratulations to the Soccer team who ensured we had one victory for the day.
The team work from all teams was brilliant and once again you made St Mary's proud to have an outstanding group of young adults representing our school.

Enjoying the gift of lettuce for an afternoon snack
Hannah and Dale gave us some of their hydroponic lettuces on our visit to their garden. On Thursday afternoon we enjoyed an afternoon snack of lettuce.

Do you know your DRSABC?
Today we had Jan from St John's educating us about First Aid. It is really good to have an understanding of the basics. You can feel safe knowing that we can follow DRSABC to do our part. Check us in action putting patients into recovery position, administering CPR and stopping a bleed.
Saddleview Greens Trip
On Tuesday we were lucky to visit the Jordan's hydroponic gardens. It was a great opportunity to see how lettuce, kale and spinach can grow when we don't use soil.
A huge thank you to Hannah and Dale who hosted us and shared their wealth of knowledge.
